I started reading David Broder’s column in the Enquirer this morning. “Historic bill, hideous bargaining,” the headline said. Hmmm, I thought. Could this be something interesting from the Dean of Dullness? Could the Washington Post’s King of Beltway Consensus actually be criticizing Democrats?
